The Catholic Sacrament of Penance, or Reconciliation has three elements: contrition, absolution, and penance. In it we concretely encounter our Lord's mercy and welcome His grace as we strive for greater holiness in this life so as to one day enter our eternal reward. Penitents may access the confessionals inside the church along the back wall next to the votive candles and the statues of Saint Peter and Saint Paul.
